Saldana's trainer of two years, Arielle

McFadden, explained to People that soon after Saldana had the twins, her fitness routines developed a strong focus on "being really patient and with the self." Obviously, patience and self-awareness are incredibly helpful practices for new moms like Saldana, whose schedules are more packed (and sleep-deprived) than ever. McFadden told the mag that some days, Saldana arrives for her biweekly workout exhausted from taking care of her young boys. On those days, Saldana prefers a stretch-focused workout, which is where yoga moves often come in.

"We'll do leg lifts or draw little rainbows with the toes and do leg extensions where we lift the leg up, so we're working the gluteus medius as well as the gluteus maximus," McFadden told People. "I also like having her sit back and squat in chair pose. It also engages your core, but it focuses more on the hamstrings and the glutes."
