Best Bag EVER
I used to be a purse JUNKIE when I was a teenager. Literally my mom and I would go to Santee Alley in downtown LA before it was “safe” on Saturday mornings and get SO many purses. I had all the knock offs, and we even would get super cool bags my bad ass mom would put crystals on for me: I had a different purse every time I left the house.
THEN I became a mom and my purse just became some giant bag I could throw a hundred different things in like diapers, wipes, snacks, and random toys to pull out in a pinch if we find ourselves somewhere unexpected PLUS my stuff. For me, the “look” of the bag stopped mattering a long time ago. I got a SUPER cute diaper bag when I was pregnant with Luke by Petunia Picklebottom. I wasn’t a mom yet when I got it, and slowly returned to a giant purse as Luke grew because it didn’t hold enough and I found it extremely frustrating that if I had it in the backpack “mode” the second I slipped it off one shoulder the straps would go into “purse” position. It didn’t fit right as a purse or carry easily-and it, just like my giant purse I have, was not the easiest to organize and find stuff in: which often, you want to look in your bag and SEE what you have and are looking for RIGHT AWAY.
Well, now that I’m expecting a second, I knew I needed a bigger diaper bag, but I also knew I needed one to be organized because now I’ll be carrying stuff around for two different kids at the same time. I personally chose the Paige Carryall because it’s 10-15% larger than their backpack, I can snap the purse straps together which I love OR change it to a messenger bag. I know they’re most popular seller is the Levy Backpack-which makes sense, especially if you’ve just got one kid. But I needed more space and the carryall has brought back my love of bags and married that to my need of being able to just grab the same bag every time I leave because Hi I’m a mom and I’m lucky if I shower I don’t have time to change my purses up or even repack them frequently :)
